Two critically acclaimed one-woman fringe shows are back on stage in Tampa Bay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gabrielle Leonore\u2019s \u201cMy Life as an \u2018Inspirational P*rn Star\u201d <\/a>and Emily Weitzman\u2019s \u201cFurniture Boys\u201d both showed at Tampa<\/a> and Edinburgh fringe festivals over the summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leonore\u2019s show is part standup, burlesque and character study with a PowerPoint presentation and a soundtrack punctuated by Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s \u201cBrutal\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weitzman\u2019s \u201cFurniture Boys\u201d is an absurdist comedy about boyfriends who become, well, furniture. The show combines clowning and spoken word for a reflection on love and impermanence. The Guardian<\/a> called it \u201cshimmeringly silly, ingenuous, and ridiculous and revelatory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are $27 for “Straight from the Fringes,” showing Thursday, Jan. 8-Sunday, Jan. 11 in Clearwater.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
